I come here often, the menu is varied but typical for a family style place. Service is nice and friendly. Only complaint I have is their limited dessert menu.

This is where I wish there were half stars. I'd give it a 2and a half. First time. Dropped in because we were hungry. Ordered Chicken Gyro Deluxe with Fries and Lemon Rice Soup. Lemon Rice Soup was EXCELLENT. Piping hot, flavorful, and perfect thickness. I love LRS Nd a good soup is a sign of a good place. Usually. Menu was large and almost odd, it was structured different. It had daily specials. Prices were reasonable. Chicken Gyro was ok. Just ok. Not really good, not great, it was ok, I ate it. The fries were good. I did like that they automatically gave u water AND a bread basket. I won't make it a point to come here, but if I'm ever in the area, I'll stop in for some soup. Service was quick and attentive though.

Great little family owned and operated diner. I've been driving by it for over a decade. My boyfriend and I were looking for a warm meal on a Friday night, but didn't want to wait for a table and because I was in yoga pants and ponytail, I wanted someplace casual. I am so glad we drove by Star and decided to try it! It's a family diner - don't expect gourmet or trendy. Large menu with a lot of options. My boyfriend had the fish & mac and I had the chicken Parmesan. Our meals included a beverage, bread basket, soup or salad, a side veggie and dessert... the bill was $20 even. Portions were so large we had enough to take home for lunch the following day. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive. The owner cashed us out and when we told her we were first timers, she was delighted and continued to tell us her family has owned the restaurant for 23 years and everything is homemade. Personally, I'm a huge fan of "mom & pop" businesses and I'm happy I found this little gem. Can't wait to try their breakfast.

Been here a few times. Food is good for a family place. Not very busy at lunch time like it used to be.

Over the course of about a year I've given this restaurant three chances, and three times I've regretted it. I keep going back because the food is quite good and the prices/portions are generous for this type of restaurant but EACH and EVERY time I've been amazed by their poor customer service. The first time the waitress didn't have a firm enough grasp on the English language to tell me they don't give free drink refills (which is RIDICULOUS, I might add). The second time my waitress disappeared for twenty five minutes and snapped at me when I asked for mustard. The third time, earlier this week, my waitress kept interrupting me while I was ordering to answer a trainee's questions. Maybe wait until I'm done??? Then she said she would bring me a water refill and promptly forgot about me. I had to get up and find her, and and was wiping down menus and chitchatting with the trainee, then she didn't even apologize for her obvious lack of attention. THEN when I was waiting to pay the man behind the register thought chatting with a regular was MUCH more important than ringing me out in under ten minutes. I am DONE with this place and sadly it has nothing to do with their fare.

Gave this place another chance this week. Ate here for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was nice. Seemed like they already had it made with how fast it came out of the kitchen. LIGHTNING SPEED! Had the meat loaf for dinner. Really not a fan. No matter where I go for meat loaf I always tell myself "mom can make it better". I normally eat down the street, my little hot spot. I needed a break and to try something new for once. Star was the place. Very clean from what I could tell so far. Bathrooms were kept clean which was nice. Nice staff was a plus. Tho I'm only giving it 3 as a review is because the place is closed at 10pm. As a night owl this does not make me happy. I need some food at 12am!

I got the Julienne Salad. This is very similar to your typical chef salad. It was a lot of food for the money. The salad was fresh and very filling. I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant.

Ok... let's dig in to this one by first saying, DUHHHHH .... this is NOT a gourmet restaurant. So, if you want a gourmet restaurant, then you are on the wrong page. Now that that's out of the way, I have a question for you. Do you ever get a mad craving for good toast? Yes, toast. Crunchy, melted buttery toast. I LOVE toast. This place boasts some of the best toast i've ever had. I don't know why, I just love it. So, when I get my toast craving I either get breakfast with extra toast, or chicken strips with mashed potatoes, and a side of toast. Fairly cheap... Diner food. Take it for what it is. And take it with toast! What? Everyone has their thing right? :) /Toast!!

Nice family restaurant, quiet, solid food and great breakfast. Its our default restaurant when the family can't agree on what to eat. Not gourmet but everyone gets something they like, and the price is right. Lemon rice soup is always a winner.

Yesterday I was super jonesing for some eggs and hashbrowns. I don't know what it was all about (no, not pregnant) but I do know that when a craving comes, I gotta give in. So I pulled out the ol' Yelp app and you fine folks lead me to Star Family Dining. It's your regular, run of the mill kind of diner inside. Booths, some tvs, a standard menu of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast any time. I ordered my plate of food and pulled out my laptop to do a little work. The eggs, hashbrowns and ham came out quickly and tasted great! They aren't reinventing the wheel here but they do basic breakfasts really well. I'd definitely be curious to try other items here for sure. And the price was a steal. That whole plate of food ran me just under $6 bucks. Throw in my iced tea and a tip and I was full for the rest of the day with just $10. The real gem of the afternoon was actually the clientele and the staff. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty much the youngest patron in there but everyone was so nice. From the lovely elderly fella who complimented my hat on his way out to the other older ladies chatting me up about my computer and complimenting my clothes. It was definitely a boost to the self confidence! My waitress was also a sweetheart and we chatted about accessories. I walked out with a full tummy and a smile on my face. Can't ask for more than that!
